Jean Johnson Obituary
One weekend, Jean was enjoying roller skating at the Rollerdrome in Nampa, and two young mischievous twin boys, David and Don thought she was "mighty pretty" and that their brother Frank might like her. After dating a few years, they married on June 17, 1950 in Cascade, Idaho. After that they worked on their family dairy farm for over 70 years.
Jean was a member of the Meridian Historic Society, Catholic Daughters, Treasure Valley Wives, Black Cat Extension Club, and was Grand Marshall of the Meridian Dairy Days Parade along with Frank. She was also very active with their sons' 4H and FFA activities.
Jean had a beautiful voice, and for years was a member of the choir at the Catholic Church in Meridian. In 2022 Jean was Guest of Honor at The Daffodil Tea, an annual fundraiser sponsored by Booth Memorial Home, now The Salvation Army Booth Family Care Center.
Frank and Jean traveled to Mexico and many other areas with the Farm Bureau and after Frank passed, Jean enjoyed traveling to China and Australia.
Besides being a mother and farmer, other proud moments include being a grandmother to Greg and great-grandmother to Oliver.
Jean is survived by her three sons: Daniel, Douglas, and Gary; brother in-law Donald; granddaughter Melissa; grandsons: Jay, Tim, and Greg; great-grandson, Oliver; and many nieces and nephews. Jean is preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband Frank; infant son Francis; sisters-in-law: Josephine Fuhrman, Betty Hendrickson, and Donna Johnson; and brother-in-law David G. Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11:00am at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N. Meridian Rd., Meridian, Idaho. Donations in memory of Jean can be made to The Salvation Army Booth Family Care Center in Boise, Idaho.

Jean was one of the kindest women I have known. She always had a smile on her face. I enjoyed visiting with her at church. She and Frank supported the youth that were involved in the FFA and 4-H programs around the valley. She will be greatly missed!
