We are saddened by the news of Evan's passing. We will cherish our memories and the lessons and knowledge we gained by our association with Evan while we were in the Great Sky Ward. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. We are grateful for his example of Christ-like living and his wonderful testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will certainly miss him.

Brother Merrell was a wonderful Scout Master and leader. I remember being regaled with stories of the sidehill galut,learning the location of constellations, being taught how to tell the difference between a Douglas Fir and and a Blue Spruce and eating frog legs and stinging nettle for dinner on a survival hike. Planting Ponderosa pine trees on the Boise Front and him asking everyone to get out of the VW van because it couldn't make it up the hill loaded with kids. He was a great man and some for us all to look up to and remember with great love.
I know you will miss him and my heart goes out to you all for your loss. I hope some of these memories make you smile. So sorry I couldn't be at the service.
