KENNETH BROWN Obituary

NAMPA - A Celebration of Life for Kenneth G. Brown will be held on Sunday, May 18, at 1:00 pm at 1701 W. Florida Avenue, Nampa. It will be outside so please bring an outdoor chair for every person in your group.

Ken was born on August 3, 1938; the youngest of four boys (Leslie (Jean), Edgar (Jo) and Robert (Carol) to Albert and Iola of Ft. Dodge, Iowa. He passed away on December 21, 2024. Ken was a man who loved a woman (Kathy) for 55 years. Their daughter Sally (Jeremy) McClain joined them two years later. She will always be the apple of his eye. He had four wonderful grandchildren; Kimberly, Billy, Anthony and Sydney and soon he will have 10 "Littles". His family was his most precious gift from God.

Ken held different jobs through the years, but being a nurseryman for many years was his favorite. he held a wealth of knowledge and was eager to share it to anyone who asked him about flowers, trees and plants, etc.

He volunteered to help children read at the old Lincoln School in Mrs. French's class. the students loved him as they would attack him with hugs whenever he was out in public and they saw him. He instilled the love of reading into the students as reading was one of his most favorite hobbies.

Many dogs and cats found forever homes with Ken and Kathy. He had two dogs over the years that were his favorite; Scarlett and Tia. He swore he hated cats but one cat, Shadow won him over when he first moved to Idaho in 1975.

He had many friends in his lifetime and he was always helping one or another with "projects". His friends all meant the world to him and he really liked playing cards and board games with them.

Ken loved making beaded jewelry and sold some of his creations at craft shows. He was a big fan of trains. He definitely loved baking sourdough bread and cookies.

We all wish Ken a beautiful life in Heaven. He will be taking care of God's gardens and they will be spectacular. His earthly family will always love and miss him.
