Peggy Jean Hanway of Nampa passed away on Nov. 11, 2016 at St. Alphonsus Hospital, Boise. She was born on Aug. 24, 1933 in Broadwater, Nebraska to Milton and Velma Hanway. She attended Golden Gate Academy and graduated from Castlemont High School in Oakland, California. After graduation she moved to Palo Alto, California and began working to Pacific Press Publishing Association in Mountainview, California. She moved to Nampa, Idaho and continued working for Pacific Press when the company relocated to Nampa. She worked for Pacific Press for 41 years until she retired.
She was a fiancée' to Jim Kuryluk before he passed away and adopted his children, Gordon & Peggy Kuryluk and their daughters Stacy & Wendy as her own family. She also has an Aunt and cousins who live in California.
She loved spending time with her family and many friends. She enjoyed baking, knitting and travel whenever she could. She was an active member of the Nampa Seventh Day Adventist Church. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of St. Alponsus hospitals in Nampa and Boise for their care of Peggy Jean. Thanks also to her many friends who called or visited her.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate her life will be on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10am at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 307 W Iowa Ave, Nampa. Viewing and visitation will precede the service at 9am. Burial will be at Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa. Remembrances may be given to 3ABN, P.O Box 220, West Frankfurt, IL 62896. 3ABN.ORG.
