Scotty Patton Obituary

Scotty Monroe Patton, 47, of Caldwell, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
He graduated from Nampa High in 1981 and served in the Air Force from 1982 to 1983 when he was medically discharged. He married his soulmate, Nicole Wilson on May 2, 1998 and they moved to Jackson Hole, Wyo., and worked at the lodge for the summer.
Upon returning to Idaho Scott entered the plumbing apprenticeship program at BSU and graduated in 2002. He later went on to become a teacher in that same program.
Scott and Nicole opened Comet Plumbing in 2004. This was Scott's ministry to help people because he was tired of working for companies that overcharged the customer.
Scott enjoyed life to the fullest, jumping at every opportunity to be on the go. He loved the outdoors and could be found drag racing at Firebird, or hiking or fishing with Nicole and their dogs. Scott and Nicole were never far apart. He fought a long fight with brain cancer, but always had a positive upbeat spirit that he would be the one to beat it for good.
Scott is survived by his soulmate, Nicole and his little companion, Pippy.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.
A special thanks to the Caldwell St. Al's Cancer Center and Dr. Pulver, Brandi Tently and all her support and giving heart, and to Elks Hospital for all the wonderful care given to this special man.
Memorial services for Scott will be held at a later date.
Cremation was entrusted to Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, Nampa; 466-3545.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Scott over the last four years. He was an inspiration to so many because of his tenacity to beat long odds. I particularly enjoyed the day Jody and I spent with him at Firebird Raceway working on his racetruck and watching the races...he was such a character!
