Veldora Lentz Obituary

Veldora Lee Lentz
January 4, 1925 - March 3, 2021
Veldora Lee Lentz, 96, a longtime resident of Boise, ID, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2021.
Veldora was born to Harry L. Nock and Ruby M. Nock on January 4, 1925 in a ranch house belonging to her grandparents (Laurens and Essie Herrick) on Clear Creek Road in Valley County near Cascade, ID where she was raised and went to school.
In May 1940, she married Harmon Kimball and one year later they welcomed their first child, their only son, H. Michael. Mike was born while they were living in a small mining camp in Stibnite, ID and eventually he was joined by three sisters: Rhonda, Cynda, and Jan.
In the summer of 1976, Veldora married Glenn Lentz. They enjoyed two years of bliss before Glenn sadly passed away in 1978.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Winona Patrick and Clydie (Jack) Hull. Veldora's greatest fear was that one of her children would predecease her but she is survived by all four of her children: Mike (Patt) Kimball, of Boise; Rhonda Whitwell, of Boise; Cynda (Chris) Beeson, of Boise; and Jan (Larry) Schoonover, of Liberty Lake, WA. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Ken (Kelly) Kimball, Susan (Charlie) Dodge, Sally (Mike) Bright, Micalah (Rod) Wimmer, Shari Whitwell, Paul (Ellie) Whitwell, Gina (Jon) Lyon, Christine (Whitney) Gabbitas, Sarah Schoonover, and Katie Schoonover Shane. She was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Veldora was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ruby Nock; brother, Johnny Nock; husband, Glenn Lentz; son-in-law, Ron Whitwell; and grandson, Chris Kimball.
Veldora was a very independent, strong woman in her younger years and always a great role model for her family and friends. At the age of 48, she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and remained actively involved until her death. Veldora joyfully shared her belief in the coming resurrection promised in God's Word. In the meantime, her suffering is over as she sleeps peacefully in the memory of the God she served, Jehovah.
At Veldora's request, there will not be a service.
