Wendell Platt Obituary

Caldwell - Wendell B. Platt passed away December 30th, 2021 peacefully at the age of 92.

Wendell was born March 15, 1929 to Mary and Carl Platt of Caldwell, graduated from Caldwell High School class of 47' attended College of Idaho three and a half years and joined National Guard making the Rank of Sargent.

Married Wilma Jean Jones of Nampa January 1954 fathered three boys, Larry B., Michael S., and Ronald D. Platt. The family lived in the Huston Community and made a living farming and selling fruit. Early years raising cattle and rodeo were Wendell's life in Caldwell and Donnelly.

The family worked together and built a cabin on 90 acres in Donnelly when land was cheap, a good place to relax. Mom and Dad loved going to swap meets in different parts of the nation collecting a myriad of antiques and old cars. Wendell was an early member of the Horseless Carriage club spending hours with the members talking cars and touring.

Survived by Larry Platt ""Chrissy"; Mike Platt "Kim"; Ron Platt "Tina"; six grand kids; three great grand kids

He will be laid to rest at a private family service. A celebration of life is planned for a date still to be determined
