Wilma Fayer Goucher of Enterprise, Oregon died February 16, 2015 at Wallowa Valley Senior Living. A memorial service will be held May 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Enterprise Christian Church. Friends are invited to join the family for a meal immediately following the celebration of Wilma's life. Wilma is the daughter of William R. and Audney E. Bates. She was born February 23, 1930 in Caldwell, Idaho. She was the 10th child in a family of 18 children.
Wilma attended Huston Elementary School and Caldwell High School. Wilma married Loren William Raymond on March 21, 1977 in Caldwell. They lived and farmed in various places near Marsing and Caldwell. They were blessed with two children, Debra Faye born October 15, 1950 and Dennis Loren born April 27, 1954.
In 1965 the family moved to McCall, Idaho where Wilma worked at Shore Lodge. In 1970 they moved to Enterprise, where Wilma worked at Boise Cascade and Bill's Economy Drug Store. Working together they transformed the building into a first class restaurant and residence. At the restaurant Wilma made wonderful pies, jams, and jellies, and waited tables. Upon retirement they moved back to Enterprise.
After Loren passed away in 2004, Wilma continued to live in Enterprise until her marriage to Lyman Goucher on February 12, 2009 in Union County.
