POCATELLO - Jacqueline Lillian Ortiz (Jolley), 6, beloved daughter of Lisa and Todd Frandsen, Pocatello, passed away August 16, 2010 from injuries sustained in a tragic accident. She was born January 13, 2004 in Pocatello to Joe and Lisa Jolley Ortiz.
Jacqueline was a kind and caring person and was always looking out for others. She excelled in school and athletics including soccer and swimming. She was an awesome dancer and singer, and loved dance and cheerleading classes. Jacqueline loved pink and was our little princess. She also loved animals, especially her cat. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her parents, Lisa and Todd Frandsen of Pocatello; her brothers and sisters, Christian Ortiz (Jolley), Ridge Ortiz (Jolley), Austin Frandsen, and Samantha Frandsen; and grandparents, Norman and Della Jolley of Pocatello. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Ortiz. Jacqueline was adored by her family, who will miss her tremendously.
Extended family that also mourn her passing, but find comfort knowing she is in the arms of her Heavenly Father list as follows: Tresa (Wylie) Anderson – Children: Mike (Krista) Di Lello and their sons Dallin and Gavin, Ryan (Ashleigh) Di Lello, Shantay Gregerson and her daughters Anika and Ashlyn, Tyler Gregerson, and Landon & Charity Anderson; Lana Jolley & daughter Jamie Condie; Kevin (Richelle) Jolley; Tammy (Ronnie) Newton and their children Jordan, Shayna, Braydon, Rashay, Joselle, Joshua, & Jasmin; Steven Jolley and children Stevenson & Paisley; Jolene (Lyn) Yost and their children Chancelor, Joslyn, Alexis, and Jaxon.
The family feel honored to have had the privilege of knowing our earthly angel and princess, who is a lasting example of loving kindness, forgiveness, and going the extra mile. She lived the golden rule of loving others more than self. When her brothers were asked to do something she would often say, "I'll do that." When her mother asked for a volunteer for a chore, she always leaped into action before anyone else could.
She deeply felt the pain or sadness of others, cuddling up to them and rubbing their back, doing everything she could to make them feel better, thus, truly living the Charity of Christ – also always looking for and befriending the underdog. Her natural born leadership, influence, and friendship won many of the friendless and made them feel loved and accepted. She knew more about loving others than most adults – truly Christ-like love. She also never knew a stranger, and if you were family, she loved you completely and instantly with visible passion and energy.
Does it sound like she was too good for this world? She was! We cannot doubt the Lord. She met the test. She entered the world nearly Celestial, and only required a little experience to complete her exaltation. But beyond the brief experience that she lived here with us, she set the example that the rest of us must follow to become like our Savior "a little child shall lead them."
Oh how we love her and will miss her! But we know we will see her again, and we know her matchless love and energy continues on the other side. Truly she dances and sings with her loved ones there. Jacqueline ever stands memorialized in our hearts. Her joy is now complete in the arms of the Lord, and the only sorrow she feels is in sympathy to our mourning. Our love for her ever grows, and we are grateful for the comfort and peace of the Lord, but our arms feel so empty.
