Joseph 'Joey' Snyder
POCATELLO - Joseph D. "Joey" Snyder, 47, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at his home Friday, October 12, 2012. 
He was born March 8, 1965, in Pocatello, Idaho, a son of Joe Russell and Vicky L. Schiess Snyder. He lived his entire life in Pocatello, where he attended local schools including Pocatello High School. 
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed Primary and Young Men's when he was younger. He had a passion for karate where he had earned a 4th-Degree Black Belt and was scheduled to receive his 5th Degree shortly. 
Joey enjoyed dancing, writing poetry and spending time with his family. Over the years, he had worked at Heinz Foods and for Pocatello/Chubbuck School District No. 25. 
    He is survived by his parents, Joe and Vicky Snyder, Pocatello, Idaho; a son, his "Little Buddy," Steven Joseph Snyder, Pocatello, Idaho; Steven's mother, Korinna Matheson, Fort Hall, Idaho; four brothers, Charlie (Jesika) Snyder, Chubbuck, Idaho,  Steve (Vernae) Snyder, Filer, Idaho, Andy (Becky) Snyder, Pocatello, Idaho, Willy Snyder, Pocatello, Idaho; two sisters, Krystal Esling, Buckeye, Arizona, Susan (Mike) DeFine, Surprise, Arizona. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
    Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Pocatello LDS West Stake Center (corner of Hawthorne and West Eldredge), with Bishop Tyson Spencer of the 26th Ward officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
