Keith C. Dykman

1936 - 2019

Keith C. Dykman passed away at the age of 83 on November 12, 2019 surrounded by family.

Keith was born on May 17th, 1936 to Herman and Erma Dykman in Lodgepole, Nebraska. In December of 1958 Keith married Afton Irving, and together they had four children: Ron, Reid, Connie, and Karin. After a long relationship Keith married Barbara Carey on July 27th, 1990.

Keith was a member of the Naval Seabees from 1966 to 1972.

Keith partnered with Buzz Mayden from 1979 to 1989 and built Dykman Concrete, he later retired in 2005.

Keith was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching Nascar with his sons and friends, and was able to attend a few of the races in Las Vegas, Phoenix, and other venues to see his favorite driver, Sterling Marlin, compete. He was also a Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed attending games with his friends. When his buddy Ray Henderson introduced him to the computer he found a new passion for trading stocks, and soon after his new job was trading by day and worrying by night.

Keith is survived by his wife, Barbara; his brother, James Dykman; his children, Ron (Shauna) Dykman, Reid (Cathy) Dykman, Connie Dykman, and Karin (Vince) Fay; his grandchildren, Treisha and Brittney Dykman, Weston Dykman, Kelly (Jill) Hall, Sean (Esther) Fay, Brady and Nolan Fay; his great grandchildren, Alyssa Hall, Kai Fay and Edna Fay.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jean Dykman; his two grandsons, Cameron and Connor Dykman; and his friends, Clayton Koger, Art Ricks, Buzz Mayden, and Ray Henderson. He said it seemed like all his friends were leaving, a testament to his appreciation for life.

The family would like thank Encompass Home Health for their compassion, especially Miranda and Remy.
