POCATELLO - Koren Lorraine Douglas (Craney) died peacefully at home on May 3, 2012, at the age of 56.
Koren was born on July 15, 1955, in Pocatelllo, Idaho, to Valdo Craney and Carolyn Calahan. Work and personal interests took Koren to Michigan, Texas and finally to Southern California, where she lived with her beloved son, Zackery.
She recently achieved an associate of arts degree from the University of Phoenix and had started her studies with her eye set on a bachelor of arts degree in business. She worked for many years as a Business Analyst for Southern California Edison Company.
Koren enjoyed music, reading and parenting, focusing on her son Zackery's accomplishments.
Koren is preceded in death by her father, Valdo Craney and brother, Clayton Scott. She is survived by her son, Zackery; her mother, Carolyn Cook; sisters, Mary Miller (Larry), Andrea Cook, Florine Cook-Witherspoon (Richard); brothers, Vincent Craney (Patti), Jeffery Craney (Lori) and Randall Cook; as well as 13 nieces and nephews, one great-niece, as well as many longtime wonderful friends.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 18 at the Bethel Baptist Church, located at 401 N. Fifth Avenue in Pocatello, Idaho, (208)233-8281. A repast will immediately follow the services. Interment will be private.
The family has established a fund for Zackery's future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to that fund (Zackery Torrence) and should be sent to Vincent Craney, 936 Viewpoint St., Upland, Calif. 91784.
