Mike Harris was my best friend growing up as a kid in Garden Grove, CA. We were in Boy Scouts together. Went to the same High School together. Pacifica. We flew kites, made tennis ball cannons, worked on his maroon rag top VW Bug every weekend. I can remember having David Bowie's Fame song cranking out his windows & jumping off the roof into the backyard pool. Mike was a really cool guy! But so was his parents Bill & Carol & Shelly & Scott. We both learned how to surf together. Surfing taught us more about life than any school or college. Weather it was hitting a Jesus freak in the head with a frozen chocolate banana, throwing a carrot through a plate glass window in a shop on Main St. in Seal Beach, or witnessing a pod of Orca whales swimming sideways through the waves on a big day in H.B. I belong to the Neptune Society. So, my ashes will be scattered in the ocean also! See you in the line up on the other side. Kind Regards, Tim H.

I knew Mike since he moved to Soda Springs and his parents bought the trail Cafe,I was working there and I had to teach him how to prepare the fried chicken and such. We became good friends. He always had a smile on his face. I'm so sorry for this loss for Shelley and Scott. I love this family very much. Godspeed Mike! Hugs and prayers.

I only knew Mike a couple of years when I moved into the same apartment complex as he was living in. He was such a friendly guy and we had the best conversations. I will miss visiting and seeing Mike "tootle" around our apartments. Rest in peace Mike
