Nicholas Rukavina Obituary

Nicholas John Rukavina of Pocatello, passed away on Oct. 7, 2023 in Las Vegas, NV.

He was born on May 22, 1952 to Louis and Irma Rukavina and grew up in Mackay, Idaho.

He showed his strong will and rebellious nature at a young age but his spirit for

living was apparent in all he did.

In 1973 he married his true love, Irene Storer and they had one daughter, Sara, born

in 1986.

He attended the ISU Auto Upholstery program and was the owner of Top and Trim Auto

Upholstery in Pocatello, where Irene worked side by side with him until their retirement

a few years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, Pocatello, daughter, Sara (Tom) Charlton and grandson

Tommy of Las Vegas; three brothers, Richard Rukavina of Richland, WA, Mike Rukavina,

Challis, and Father Steve Rukavina of Boise; three sisters, Mattie (Ken) Greene, Green

Valley, AZ, Mary (Frank) La Marca, Pocatello and Mala Rukavina of Pocatello. He was

preceded in death by his parents Louis and Irma.

A graveside service will be held at the Mt. McCaleb cemetery in Mackay, Idaho on

Saturday, June 15 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a lunch at the American Legion Hall.

Yes, he was a rebel and was not afraid to speak his mind. He loved rock and roll and I

think I hear him playing it now.
