Ricky Lee Fredrickson
March 24, 1989 - December 13, 2017
Ricky Lee Fredrickson loving husband, son, brother and friend passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 after a valiant battle with cancer. Ricky was born March 24, 1989 to Zayne & Terri Fredrickson.
From the time Ricky was little he had a kind heart and always cared about others. Ricky was raised on the family dry farm up Black Canyon in Weston, Idaho.
Ricky attended & graduated from West Side High School in 2007. He participated in football, basketball and track. Ricky was a friend to everyone he met.
Ricky served in the Honolulu Hawaii Mission from July 2008-July 2010. He loved the people of Hawaii and those whom he served with.
Ricky met Brittany Reid, the love of his life, after returning home and they were married June 3, 2016. Shortly after their wedding Ricky was diagnosed with cancer. They became each other's whole world and their love grew stronger through this trial. This past summer Ricky & Brittany added a blue heeler to their home and named him FINN.
Ricky is survived by his wife Brittany of Preston; his parents Zayne and Terri Fredrickson of Weston; brother Kasey (Shalie) Fredrickson, Weston; and sisters Karissa and Saige Fredrickson of Weston. He is also survived by his grandparents Betty Kay Fredrickson, Weston; Bob and Olivia Boyack, Preston; Diane Beckstead of Lava Hot Springs. He was preceded in death by his grandpa's Kenton Fredrickson and S. Brent Beckstead.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at noon in the Weston Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Steven Buttars conducting. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho and Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the many acts of kindness shown to them through this past year. We would also like to thank Dr. Beckstead and his staff for the care and compassion shown to our family and the FCMC Home Health, Diane & Kathleen for the love and compassion they gave Ricky during his final weeks of care. he was a nice person and great friend to me during my school years at west side high school and after. i remember him always saying hello to me at school when we passed in the hall. also went to football games with him as a waterboy under then coach henderson.
