Robert "Bob" Russell Bright, age 51, passed away of natural causes Saturday evening, June 29, 2013, at his home.
Robert was born November 28, 1961 in Pocatello, Idaho to John Robert and Parcia Lee Bright. He attended Pocatello High School, graduating in 1981. He worked for Wells Fargo Armored Car Service for five years. That was his favorite job, he always had a story to tell about riding in the truck. He then worked as a collection clerk for the Pocatello Railroad FCU for sixteen years. He enjoyed all of the people that he worked with, both co-workers and customers. Many people that he helped still greeted him when they passed on the street. He decided to take a break from the stress of a "job" and be a stay-at-home dad for a while. He and his boys were able to enjoy this time together for four years.
While working at the Credit Union he met the love of his life, Christine Nicole Young, and they were married on February 17, 1996. They had three children, Jacob Robert Ray, Matthew John and Aaron Russell. Robert treasured sharing his love of camping, hunting, and fishing with his boys. They have many memories of their adventures together as a family.
He will also be remembered for "tinkering" in his garage, it was where he felt most comfortable. Everybody always made a comment about how organized and clean his garage was. If someone needed a tool he knew exactly where it was and it would be shining when he handed it over. He was always willing to help, many people came to know they could count on him for anything, even just to hang out in the garage and talk.
Robert is survived by his wife, Christine; three children, Jacob, Matthew, and Aaron; father, John Bright of Pocatello, Idaho; two sisters, Jodie (Tony) Parker, of Afton, Wyoming, and Diana (Steve) Reed, of Pocatello; two nephews; three nieces and their children.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Parcia Bright; and sister, Sarah Elaine Bright.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 6th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Gate City Baptist Church, 500 West Maple St. in Pocatello, with a memorial service to be held immediately following. After the service family and friends are welcome to join together in the fellowship hall to celebrate Robert's life.
