Roy Christensen Obituary
Roy was born on May 11, 1953, in Soda Springs, Idaho, to Rolland "Critch" Christensen and Iris May White, who preceded him in death. He was the brother of Tom (Carol) Christensen of Blackfoot, Idaho; William "Bill" (Gayle) Christensen of Portland, Oregon; MaryAnn Christensen of Pocatello, Idaho; Gracie (Les) Brown of Elko, Nevada; Susie Christensen of Ogden, Utah; and Robert (Tami) Christensen of Ruth, Nevada.
Roy's family moved to the big town of Pocatello, Idaho, during high school. While attending Pocatello High School, Roy met and fell in love with his eternal companion, Linett Scott. Roy and Linett were married in the Logan, Utah Temple on May 11, 1976. They built a home of love and filled it with their four children: Kirsten (Todd) Hawes of Farr West, Utah; Eric (Annette) Christensen of Las Vegas, Nevada; Phillip (Stephanie) Christensen of Almo, Idaho; and Emily (Nathan) Vidrine of Las Vegas, Nevada. His most precious treasures came in the form of eleven grandchildren: Dallin (21), Cormick (Brenna) (19), Amberly (18), Conner (18), Amelia (14), Jedediah (12), Avery (11), Ainzley (10), Eugene (9), Oliver (8), and Orson (7). Roy was greeted with big hugs from his grandsons Rolland and Elbert, who were waiting to meet their grandfather in Heaven.
A viewing will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 6-8 PM at the LDS Ward at 4773 Independence in Chubbuck. Funeral services for Roy will be held the following day, Friday January 5, 2024, also at the LDS Ward at 4773 Independence in Chubbuck, with a viewing an hour prior. Internment services will be held at Rest Lawn Cemetery, Pocatello, Idaho.
