Alexander Barbee Obituary

Alexander "Alex" Chase Barbee
2002 ~ 2017
Alexander "Alex" Barbee, 14 years old, of Meridian, Idaho, met the Heavenly Father on August 20, 2017.
He was born in Caldwell Idaho on November 26, 2002.
Alex was a bright, friendly, funny, helpful young man who has touched our lives in so many ways, and left us so unexpectedly at such a young age. He was so very special to everyone that ever met him. He was strong and compassionate. He volunteered in many different areas. He was an altar server at church, volunteered to teach with the children's group at church, and shoveled the sidewalks in the winter for all of his neighbors without being asked. He also protected his younger brother, whom he loved very much and was also one of his best friends. Some of his favorite past times were fishing, scootering with his friends, rebuilding his scooters, golfing with his big boy set of clubs, cooking, carving in wood, tomato gardening, Barbee-q-ing, baking cakes/cookies, poker with his dad, chess, and becoming a self-motivated entrepreneur.
He passed away unexpectedly to sudden heart failure. We are comforted in the fact that he was doing what he loved when the Heavenly Father took him home. He had spent the day fishing, paddle boarding and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents Randy and Nadine Barbee; older brother, Andrew Baxter; younger brother, Anthony Barbee; paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Barbee, and numerous other family members.
A Vigil service will be held on Thursday, August 24th at 7:00 PM at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N. Meridian Rd., Meridian. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, August 25th at 1:00 PM also at Holy Apostles Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Alex's gofundme account at www.gofundme.com/alexbarbeefuneral. Remembrances may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.

My daughter Jessica and I are so very sorry for your loss, he sounded like a nice kid who loved to do a lot in his life. Jessica went to the same school with him, it really broke her heart. Our hearts go out to you and your family and his dear friends. God bless you all.

Alex has been to my house a handful of times with the neighborhood boys. He always stood out to me as one of the most respectful kind boys around. I also knew him from working at his school. He was such a great big brother to Anthony. His beautiful bright blue eyes and smile shined, but his heart shined even brighter. Rest in peace sweet young man. You are an angel for sure. Love and prayers to the Barbie family!!
