Alvin Dudley Obituary

Alvin H. Dudley, 76, of Mountain Home, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at 2:30 p.m. at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. Alvin was born February 15, 1930, in Burley, Idaho the son of Heber and Alberta Dudley. Alvin was raised and schooled in Burley. In 1950, he married La Ree Higley in Burley. They lived in Burley, Twin Falls and Buhl, where they owned a movie theater. In 1969, they moved to Mountain Home where they owned and operated the movie theater and drive-inn. Alvin enjoyed wood working, tooling leather, fishing, hunting, being in the outdoors and at their cabin in the pine area. Alvin is survived by his wife La Ree Dudley of Mountain Home, his two sons, Robert Dudley of Florida, Rodney Dudley of Oregon, his two daughters, Terry Johnson and Kim Dudley both of Buhl, five grandchildren and 11 great-grand children, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both parents, a daughter Kelly, one granddaughter, one great-grandson and two sisters. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
