I am very sorry, to hear about Bob's passing! I'm sending prayers and condolences to your family! My family and I lived next door to Eddie, in the 70s. My sister, Eddie, and I would watch Bob play. We moved away, we kept up with Eddie. Later, my mom would call Bob, checking on Eddie. It seems, Bob looked quite a bit like Eddie, on one of the pictures I saw, if I remember correctly.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

Carol, I just learned this tragic news. We have lost a giant. He was more than a good man, he was a saint. I can think of no words of comfort to offer except that his pain has ended. What a privilege to know you both, a lifetime ago. I send my deep love. Guida

Carol, I am so very sorry to hear of Bobs passing. I met you both when , MANY years ago, you were looking for a home in Wellesley, Mass. I invited you and your children for a day at my home in Falmouth. I am not sure why, but, I just went into the internet today and looked up your family , AND saw the notice of Bob;s passing. Heartfelt condolences to you and your children ----- I still can't believe whatever made me look you up at this particular time, as that has never happened to me before. My thoughts will be with you all during this very sad time. I will remember Bob in my prayers.. very sincerely, Mary Ellen Laak

My prayers go out to the Bob Watson family. I was humbled to meet such a great man doing his World Series run with the New York Yankees. He was a man with such great class that I admired. He was such a great role model for young man. He will surely be missed but I know he's watching over the great city of Houston from the heavens above...R.I.P. with great respect Mr. Watson..

Big Bob hit one of the longest, HARDEST hit balls ever in the old Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. One of those shots that everybody on both teams watches go out the park. Looked like he hit it with a five wood golf club. Never ever forgot those, RIP Big Guy.
