Carol Yasuda Obituary

Carol A. Yasuda
1945-2018
Carol Ann Yasuda, 72, passed away with family by her side on June 4, 2018 at Royal Villa, an Assisted Living Facility in Payette, Idaho. Carol was born to Kay and Mabel Yasuda on November 17, 1945 in Ontario, Oregon. After moving with her family, Carol attended school at Wilder, Idaho and graduated from Parma High School in 1964. Carol played softball in high school and was active in 4-H and Girl Scouts.
Following graduation Carol went to Beauty School in Portland, Oregon and worked as a hairdresser for a few years. Then she decided to attend Boise State University where she received her degree in Elementary Education, teaching at Horseshoe Bend and Ontario Schools.
Carol was a very giving and unselfish person, thinking of all others before herself. She attended the Ontario Community Church when she was able and enjoyed the annual bazaars to eat her favorite Japanese food. Her favorite pastime was watching BSU Bronco Football and she loved watching the Seattle Mariners, wearing the appropriate shirts for each team. She loved bowling and playing cards with her nieces and nephews. She was a fierce competitor when it came to playing Bingo and other activities at Royal Villa.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Becky Yamamoto. She is survived by her sisters, Jeanne (Victor) Yamamoto, Caldwell, ID; Phyllis (Jeff) Lundy, Vancouver, WA; Doris (Dale) Fraley, Parker, CO; and brother, Roger (Cathy) Yasuda, Fruitland, ID. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews, cousins , aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank Dr. Isaac Elam and the wonderful staff at Royal Villa where she was a resident for 12 years. Special thanks for Cecelie, Shelbi, Melissa, Bailey and Courtney.
Carol was cremated and will be interred next to her parents at Riverside Cemetery in Payette, ID in a private family graveside service in mid-July. Bowman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
