Charles Stringer Obituary

We are saddened to announce the passing of Charle on February 6th, 2026, surrounded by family that loved him deeply. He grew up in Nampa, ID with His Mom and Dad (Dorthy & Leonard) and his three brothers, Don, Delbert, and Roger. Grandma told stories of him as a toddler exploring through the mining town as she cooked and the dogs teaching him how to swim. In high school he loved taking flight lessons and working on planes, which developed him into a skilled mechanic that could pretty much build or fix anything. He loved to fish, hunt, and rodeo and had a long career working on ranches from Grasmere, ID to Jordan Valley, OR. He built logging roads, one time rolling a Cat down a mountain. He worked in excavation for decades and could run any piece of equipment with precision. Now throw in a some whiskey and tobacco, and you had yourself a tough Son of B****. But he was as genuine as they come. If you stopped by, there would be tears streaming down his cheeks cherishing every moment of the last season of his life with the ones he loved. A memorial will be held on February 21, 2026 at 4:00 pm at the College of Idaho (Blatchley Hall), Caldwell, ID. Dinner and music to follow. Parking in South/back side. There will be another celebration April 4th. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Stringer, his children Erica (Keoki) Galeai, Travis Stringer, Rachelle Stringer, Riley(Lacey)Stringer, Melisa (Sean) Blackwell, Chelsea (Chris)Terry; stepchildren Debbie Galeai, Kawika (Noe) Galeai, & Sarona (Ala) Mamea. along with 17 grandkids & 12 great grandkids. He is reunited in heaven with his son, Jeffery Stringer and parents, Leonard and Dorthy Stringer & Father Jay Standley. A special thank you to Marj and the kids and grandkids who gave him special comfort and loved him immensely.
