Christine Sweeten Obituary

Christine Lynn Sweeten

April 28, 1962 - May 28, 2024

Boise, Idaho - On May 28 I lost the love of my life, friend, partner and wife. A kind and gentle person that tempered a grumpy old bachelor.

She is survived by her husband Neil, Son Nick Beckman, Daughter Shelby Ely, Father Richard Mackrill and friend Tank. She was preceded in death by her brother Michael and mother Carla Mackrill.

Chris was born April 28, 1962, in Weiser Idaho. She moved frequently in childhood as her father was an Air Force officer. She attended Boise State University and attained her lifelong goal of becoming a nurse.

She loved nursing and the personal satisfaction service to others gave her. Her career ended abruptly when the effects of chemotherapy became too much.

Her love of family was her primary motivation. She hung on long enough to say goodbye to Grand daughter Katerina Ely, son-in-law Zac Ely and future daughter-in law Veronica Moreno.

Her passions included Fishing, Camping and Animals. She particularly loved Dogs and watching birds at our numerous feeders. She planted flowers every Spring but left the care to me. Obviously, a delegator.

Chris believed strongly in God and knew she would be with her mother, grandparents, Breezy, Avery, Pepper, Fluffy and other pets.

I can rest peacefully knowing that she continues to be surrounded by Love.

I would like to thank the Doctors and staff at St. Alphonsos Cancer Center and The Huntsman Cancer Institute for their kindness and compassion. Additionally, a big shout out to family, friends and neighbors for food and support. This includes the St. Al's Nursing Education Department and her friends at St. Lukes Surgery Center.
