I knew Craig from 3rd grade at Whittier through age 23. I loved him deeply for a great portion of that time. We had great times hiking, camping and fishing. Craig was a dear, open-hearted person full of warmth, exhuberance and passion. He was an excellent athlete- I remember hanging out with him and some skateboarders who were trying to teach Craig to skate. He would get on the board with a big smile and ride like a pro all while they would be screaming "You can't ride it like that!" They were all muttering, "How does he do that?" Craig would focus and just get it done. He was an individual and never followed a path- he blazed one for himself. He was loving, caring and very sensitive. Especially with children and older people. Everyone loved him. You could not be around him without laughing and enjoying his contagious enthusiasm for life. He did not care about circumstance- he cared about doing the things he loved with those he loved. I will never forget how he talked about his sister Lonnie, with such love and respect. His brother Trent was simply a hero to him. Greg was his soulmate- they could finish eachother's sentences and were hilarious together. In high school my mom and I attended most every football game. He was unstoppable- what he couldn't do with strategy he accomplished with just bull strength. I have scrapbooks of letters he wrote, many photos of him strong, tanned and able to take on the world. He hated to write, but he knew I loved receiving them, So he did it to please me. He drew me pictures and made me a treasure chest I still have to this day. A large piece of my life was spent with Craig. I will forever hold a dear place in my heart for him. I know how close he was to his family and how their hearts must have broken at his loss- but to be with Craig even for a little while was to be touched by a pure unselfish, gentle soul. I know he lived and loved his life, and all those he shared himself with, completely and fully. He was a gorgeous big boy who played hard and smiled big. My condolences to the Earl family.

Hark! a voice saith, all are mortal,
Yea, all flesh must fade as grass.
Only through Death's gloomy portal,
To a better life ye pass,
And this body formed of clay
Here must languish and decay.
Ere it rise in glorious might,
Fit to dwell with saints in light!

It was a shock when Mike sent me the message that Craig had passed away suddenly. I remember him in the weight room when we were Juniors and how he told Joie Henson to not piss me off, "she's stronger than most of the guys here and she is way meaner." I didn't know he knew I was mean. I will always remember the smile. My prayers are with the whole family.

Very saddened when Tony called me with this news...I remember Craig buying and wearing that HUGE sumbraro hat when we all went to the Bahamas our junior year,, I have the funnist picture of him wearing that thing and it still cracks me up today..Craig always made me laugh when he would flex his huge left arm to show how much bigger it was that his right.I missed him over the years but have and will continue to remember him fondly. I know he is in the right place now...Russ Cash

I cant believe you are gone yet!! I do believe you are with your Mom in Heaven. You have such wonderful brothers ans sisters, and dad! Even the times you were most quiet you still talked about your family, football, best friend who also had a twin brother, and much more past memories that brought me to hear you laugh out loud for the first time. I will put your tree up like you asked and play your song on the piano "The Blood Will Never Lose It's Power" in the southern baptist style. I was so pleased when you had me take you to St. Stephens Episcopal Church and once we walked all the way from home to Mt. View Church. What an adventure! My heart is stronger after learning how loving and caring you always were and the time you always played with the dogs, Melvin and Sophia. Thank you for making me smile and laugh more often as we watched all those movies, bike rides, numerous walks in the summer and coming with me to my music practice. Everyone said you were a really nice guy! I look foward to Heaven much more now that I Know you are at peace there! I love you My Good Friend!

Oh my brother Craig- My heart aches terribly for the years gone by without you in our daily lives. I have been watching old family videos that included you. What a handsome strapping lad you were. I can still hear your voice calling all of your little nieces & nephew......."Brittany, Tessa, Ally, Devi, Brady...all you kids... come get on my back for a free horsey ride". They would come running and away you would go, making them laugh all the while. You were a such a fun uncle in that way. Those fond memories bring warmth to my heart and I will fondly carry them until we meet again. . Thank you Lord Jesus for the years I did have with my bro Craig.

My twin bro, for all the times we laughed and cried together, for all the good and the bad times we had together, there are so many memories to list, let it be known that the good memories stay in my mind the most. I will surely miss you Craig and you will always be in my thoughts. I know you are at peace together again with Mom. For all of you that have responded in this sad situation, thank you for your kind words & thoughts. They are greatly appreciated. God bless you.

What a true shock! Tony Elguezabal called me this AM to deliver the unfortunate news. Even though it's been many years since I've seen Craig, it seems just like yesterday that we were all hang'in round down at the Boise river in the summers during our jr high school days. Great memories with sports and school as well (Hillside and Capital). In a time like this, it's real comforting to know that Craig had a real/genuine faith in his maker. I'm confident that he is in the best of all places with our God. Let's all rejoice in this truth!

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. It's comforting to know that God cares for all of us. The Bible gives us hope that one day we can see our loved ones again. On behalf of all mankind Jesus surrendered his soul. John 15:13 says “No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul on behalf of his friends.” Truly I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and I hope these few words will bring you comfort and hope.

I have wonderful memories of Craig and Greg growing up. Craig you were a part of my life for a long time and was loved by my whole family. "A great young man" is what my dad said of you and you were. I remember when you and I fed my baby calf and we just laughed and had a blast. We had fun hanging out together. You will always be a star in my eyes. God Bless the Earl family.

Lonnie, Trent, Greg and Cori, I am deeply saddened by Craig's death, he was a good friend and was like a brother to me. He always had a smile and tried to make the best of everything, I can't think of a single memory in JR High that didn't involve Craig. I saw him about a year ago and enjoyed our short visit. He was so proud of his family and said so when I saw him last. He was beloved by my whole family and will be greatly missed. God Bless you all.

I will always be fond of your kind and gentel spirit that you had toward everyone. My most wonderful memory is the time you stayed over with my brother after a football game and the next morning you were so hungry that you ate 18 one-eyed jacks (egg fried in a holed piece of bread). You said it was the best egg you had ever eaten. My heart goes out to your family and we will see you again someday my friend. It is just hard not having you here in body. Thank you for being so kind to me. Brenda Carman Keene
