David Thompson Obituary
David Orvel Thompson, 70 of Boise passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at a local care center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19 at the Ginger Creek Ward LDS Chapel, 11443 McMillan Road in Boise. A viewing will be held at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 18 and again at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd in Boise at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are being provided by Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300.
David was born October 7, 1943 in Wendell, Idaho to Orvel Bernard and Norma Florence Garner Thompson. He loved working in the Boise LDS Temple. David is survived by his wife Kathy; children: Scott Thompson, Wendy Maughan, Kent Thompson, Ginger Weyland, Kirsten Thompson, Adair Elton, Aaron Thompson, Craig Thompson, Scott Sedgwick, Patrick Sedgwick and Adam Sedgwick; 29 grandchildren; his mother; four sisters and one brother. He was preceded in death by his father.

Dave was a quiet man with a smile for everyone. He loved the gospel and had a strong testimony. I will cherish the memories of my oldest brother. He will be missed by many. Love ya Dave, your baby sister.

Dave was a kind,loving and thoughtful brother. He had a great desire to do good, be good and see the good in others. I will miss him and look forward to seeing him again someday. Love your little sister.

Dave was always a happy individual. To me, he was always positive and forgiving, never saying a cross word to anyone. May God bless his family to always remember him that way and to follow his example. May God bless us, every one!
