Elizabeth Youngstrom Elizabeth Youngstrom, 100, of Boise, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 at a local care center. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 at St. Michael's Episcopal Cathedral. The Very Rev. Richard Demarest, Dean, will officiate. Arrangements are by Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel. Elizabeth (Betty) was born March 13, 1907 in Oakland, Calif. to Corman O. and Louise C. Edwards. She graduated from Oregon State Univ. in 1929, where she was member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and majored in Home Economics. She married Carol O. Youngstrom, whom she met at Oregon State in 1930. He died in 1994. A long-time Boise resident, she lived the last 66 years in the home she and Carol built on the Boise bench. She was active for many years in St. Michael's Altar Guild, and was a 75-year member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She was also a member of the Oregon State Alumni Assoc. and the Univ. of Idaho Retirees Assoc. Survivors include a son, Robert C. Youngstrom of Boise, daughter Mary Stunz of Gold River, Calif., grandson Carl (Cheryl) Stunz and great-grandchildren Jessica and Andrew of Gold River, and grandson Michael Stunz and great-granddaughter Kaley of Carmichael, Calif. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen and a brother, Robert. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Univ. of Idaho Foundation for the 4-H Endowment Fund, PO Box 443147, Moscow, ID 83844-3147, or to St. Michael's Cathedral.
