Eugene Breski Obituary

Eugene "Gene" Jerome Breski
1930 - 2014
Gene, 83 years old, passed away quietly of natural causes at home, September 16, 2014. He was born in Rochester, Minnesota on December 20, 1930 to Jerome and Leola. He was the oldest of 4 children. As a young man, he worked in the bakery that his father owned. He loved to tell stories and "the meringue went missing on the lemon pie" was a favorite one!
He married Joyce in 1949 and they had three sons, Kim, Kurt, and Kevin. He married Jackie in 1970 and they had two sons, Derek and Brandt.
He was determined to marry Janet after he met her in 1985. He placed a beautiful ad in the paper of her acceptance of her proposal. They were married June 15, 1985.
He moved to California in 1951 and worked in the aircraft industry. He moved to Idaho in 1974 and opened Ace Hardware with his brother. He then started a machine shop (MPM). His greatest accomplishment was his development of an artificial Larynx "the Nu-Vois," which was distributed worldwide. Illness forced him to retire.
Gene and Janet were members of the Western Whitewater Association. Gene was a member of the "Quiet Birdmen" and had beem flying since he was in his 20's.
Gene is survived by his wife Janet, sisters Marilynn (Darrell) and Carol (Jerry), and brother Charles (Joanne). He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Leola, his son Kurt, and grandson Justin. He is also survived by 4 sons, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, and 1 step-great grandchild.
The family would like to thank his caregivers (especially Michele) for their love and compassion.
His cremation is under the direction of Bowman Funeral Directors. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at the Warhawk Air Museum, 201 Municipal Way, Nampa, Idaho, 2:00 to 4:00 PM on October 4, 2014.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please be comforted by the fact that God cares about you personally and will help you get through your grief.. He says "I have heard your prayers, I have seen your tears" . I will heal you. 2 Kings 20:5. One way that he will heal us, is by wiping away death, mourning, and outcry. And re-establish the earthly paradise once lost, where you can hope to be reunited with your husband and father, Gene.
