Newport, Oregon - Faye Joyce Kirby, age 57, died at home on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021 after a lifelong battle with Diabetes. She was born on January 18th, 1964 in Nampa, Idaho to Guerdon and Betty Tormohlen.
She graduated from Capitol High School in Boise, Idaho in 1982. She spent the early part of her life working at Mac's Hobby and Crafts as a custom framer and bookkeeper.
After moving to Newport, Oregon, she established a career and lifelong friendships at Newport Pacific (Mo's Seafood and Chowder House), where she worked for nearly fifteen years. Special thanks to Jolee Bancroft for the years of love and care contributed to her life.
She was an avid artistic-crafter who dedicated her free time to creating, constructing, and making projects of all kinds. She shared her love of crafting with best friend Merrilee Ford.
Her other life joys included her two dogs, living on the Oregon Coast, and spending time with friends and family.
Faye is preceded in death by Father Guerdon Tormohlen and Mother Betty Tormohlen. She is survived in death by Van Tormohlen (brother), Holly Batt-Tormohlen (sister-in-law), Nic Tormohlen (nephew – wife Kylee Tormohlen), Katie Tormohlen (niece), Merrilee Ford (best friend) and Eric Juve (best friend).
A service and celebration of life will be held for friends and family in early November. Donations can be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association (https://www.diabetes.org/) in lieu of flowers.
