Frank Kent Obituary

Frank Rupert "Rudy" Kent Frank Rupert "Rudy" Kent passed away April 26, 2008 in Lewiston Idaho of Cancer. Frank was born in Salt Lake City, Utah Oct. 28, 1935 to Rupert I Kent, and Hazel J. Kent. They moved to Boise Idaho where he went to school, graduating from Boise High in 1953. Frank went to college at Boise Junior College now BSU, University of Arizona in Tempe, and the Lowry AFB in Colorado. Frank served in the Air National Guard as a Radar Officer and enjoyed flying over most of the western USA. Frank worked for National Cash Register and Boise Cascade until 1975 when he ventured out on his own with K-7 Distributing located in the Lewiston-Clarkston valley. Frank liked to bird hunt with his family in Jerome Idaho on his uncle Studyvin's farm, and for that reason was especially fond of the open space, scenic waterways, and especially the quality of friendships found in Idaho County. Frank married Charleen Thompson in Boise October 6, 1962. They moved to Portland, Ore. in 1962, and lived there until 1969 when they moved to Salem, Ore. In 1975 they moved to Lewiston, Idaho. They had three children Tim Kent, John Kent and Tamaran Kent Clifton, who all live in Boise. Their marriage ended in 1986. His father and mother precede him in death. Frank is survived by: his sister Merry Carol Geibel; an uncle Paul Wheatcroft; his children Tim (Lori) Kent, John Kent, Tamaran (Terry) Clifton, his grandchildren, Avery Kent, Piper Kent, Isabella Kent, Sarah Clifton, and Conner Clifton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Skip and Amy Chamberlain, for their unconditional love, and care for Frank. We are forever grateful to your long lasting mutual friendship and attentiveness to Frank's well being. You will always be in our prayers. Memorial services for Frank will be Wednesday May 7th, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the city park in Grangeville, Idaho. Private Family inurnment will be at Morris Hill Cemetery in Boise at a later date.
