Geo Murphy Obituary

Geo Ann Murphy
June 16, 1941 - March 19, 2022
Boise, Idaho - Geo Ann Murphy, (Steisel) born June 16, 1941 to George and Georgia Steisel in Phoenix, Arizona. Geo Ann married Charles Tye in 1962 and they had three children, Charlene, Peggy and Arthur (Dan). Geo Ann married Traynor Murphy April 28, 1984.
Geo Ann had a records management career at Boise Cascade and in her spare time, you could find her on the golf course or at the bowling alley. Geo Ann was a P.E.O. and cherished her work providing scholarships to young women. Geo Ann's volunteering included election polling, knitting for the women's shelter and NICU and helping teach challenged elementary students to read. Traynor and Geo loved to travel the country. Of all the places they visited, Stanley was their favorite.
Geo Ann passed away peacefully at home March 19, with her family by her side.
Geo Ann's legacy includes three children, five grandchildren [Joseph Randall, Crystal Tye, Elizabeth Colombo, Kinley Tye and Seamus McArthur] and two great grandchildren [Jonah and Elly Randall] Geo Ann elected for her family to have a private remembrance in Stanley. In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to the food bank.
