Gregory Moe Obituary

Gregory J. Moe
1952-2018
Gregory John Moe passed away at his home in Boise, Idaho in the company of his family on Friday, December 14th, 2018. Greg will be sorely missed and fondly remembered as a devoted son, brother, husband, father, and mentor.
Greg was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of Alvin and Esteline Moe, and brother to Bruce, Judy, and Kathleen. As a boy, he was steeped in the values of honesty, integrity, and hard work--qualities he'd embody and establish throughout his life. He grew up working alongside his father and brother, pouring concrete and learning the myriad lessons of the construction business, which made him a successful plumbing contractor and business owner for over 30 years.
Greg and Kathy met in Anchorage, and the two married in 1977. Together, they ran a business, traveled the world, and raised two equally hard working, grounded, and kind children. Colby was born in 1981, and Kelsy in 1984, and the family spent their formative years vacationing in Hawaii, picking blueberries in Edmonds, and cheering on the Summerwind Skippers, both at home and around the world. Following the loss of his beloved wife, Greg squared his shoulders and went back to work with a tenacity second to none, though still relishing his holidays and weekends watching football, checking jobs, playing cards with his family, and eating "poo-poo's" with his granddaughter.
Greg is survived by Colby and Kelsy, his granddaughter Lottie, and the legacy of tireless work, boundless kindness, and noble generosity for which we'll all--family, friends, and work partners-- forever love and remember him.
