Henry Wilcoxon Obituary

Henry G. "Willie" Wilcoxon, was born July 24, 1931, in Atlanta, Georgia. He passed away on Friday, March 17, 2006, in Glenns Ferry. He was a loving husband to Helene and a great father to Doug, Dan, Dennis, Duane, and Kari. He also had a daughter Kelly who died at a young age. Also surviving him are 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and his sister Dot Sasser and family of Conyers, Georgia. Willie lived and loved life, he served in the Air Force and had several hobbies including racing cars. He enjoyed flying and building models. He loved anything with a motor and went fast. He also enjoyed doing volunteer work for his local community. He will be loved and missed by his family and friends. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 22 at the V.F.W. Hall in Glenns Ferry at 2pm, under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

The obituary hit the nail on the head (no pun intended considering Willie pounded a "few" during his life).

I enjoyed and admired his easy going nature.

Whenever he talked about one of his hobbies, the twinkle in his eyes reminded me of a kid getting a favorite toy for Christmas.

He was a good man.

I will miss him.
