Jackie Hershey Obituary
1930-2017
Jackie E Hershey, aged 87, passed peacefully on August 12, 2017. Jackie was born August 4th, 1930, in Lampasas, Texas. The daughter of Samuel H. Sink and Delza Beabout.
Jackie thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors camping, hiking, taking long walks in the country. She was an avid rock hunter and had a soft heart for stray cats. She would adopt and care for every one of them that came into her life. Jackie graduated from Fremont High School in Sunnyvale California.
In 1950, Jackie married Dale R. Hershey upon his return from World War II. They moved to a small farm in Santa Cruz California for several years before returning to the Bay Area.
Jackie worked at the San Jose Hospital for more than 20 years before moving to Caldwell Idaho.
Jackie is survived by her brother, Samuel B. Sink and her daughter Jamie E O'Neil and sons George, Dale and Jeff Hershey.

One of the best memories I have of Grandma is when I was in grade school. Grandma lived right across the street so I got to go to her house before and after school.
My grandma loved all animals especially cats. She would do anything to help them or give them a home.
