Jacqueline Wray Obituary

Jacqueline Jeannette Eisenbarth Wray
November 29, 1942 - December 30, 2017
Born on November 29, 1942, Jacqueline Jeannette Eisenbarth Wray passed away December 30, 2017 as a result of complications from pneumonia and influenza.
Jacque was a proud first generation American born to Russian-German immigrants Henry and Elizabeth Eisenbarth. Her childhood was spent on the "Oregon Side" helping on the family farm. While she didn't talk much about the chores she did and the crops they grew, she always talked about sitting on the fence singing to the chickens and the cows.
After a few years at Oregon State which were followed by time working in San Francisco, Jacque returned to Weiser and wed lifelong resident Jon Wray. They were married over 50 years and raised two sons on the Weiser Cove.
Over the course of her life, Jacque accomplished a lot of things, but these were her proudest.
1) In the 1960's, she was Albert Einstein's daughter's personal assistant in San Francisco and enjoyed the rare privilege of holding his Nobel Prize medal.
2) A talented but modest singer, she sang at New York's Carnegie Hall with a Treasure Valley choir group in 1988.
3) Jacque's keyboard skills weren't limited to the computer and typewriter; she was also an accomplished pianist and played for several years at Weiser's Community Church.
4) With over 50 years of experience, she developed an expert level knowledge of water law, water rights, and rural water administration. Sunnyside Ditch, the Idaho Water Resource Board, Crane Creek Reservoir, and the Weiser Cove will miss her dearly.
5) She loved being known as the pickle lady and reveled in rumors that her spicy dills were a hot black market commodity.
Of all the great moments and memories, if you asked her which one topped the list, she'd say her favorite thing was to watch her grandson Mason play football. She was a proud Capital Eagles Grandma!
She is survived by her husband Jon, her sons Chris and Jonathan and their wives Heather and Darra and five grandchildren: Emily, Amanda, Hayden, Mason, and Maggie. And, if she were writing this she'd include her dog Wrags.
As per her instructions, no funeral services are planned. Her cremains will be interred at sea and a celebration of her life is tentatively planned for the 4th of July – her favorite holiday!
She was a rabid high school football fan, so in lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in her name to Capital High School Football, ATTN: Todd Simis, 8055 West Goddard Road, Boise, ID 83704.
To quote her Class of 1960 yearbook, "Jacque was delightful to meet and pleasant to know. "
