Jacquelyn Weber Obituary

Jacquelyn Estelle Weber (Willmorth) 1929-2011 Jacquelyn Estelle Weber (Willmorth) passed away October, 6, 2011 surrounded by her family and friends. Born March 14, 1929, she lived a long, full, and happy life close to her large extended family. Her parents, William Lee Willmorth and Florence Martha Wood, raised Jackie and her six siblings on a farm outside of Greenleaf, Idaho. She attended Caldwell High School, graduating in 1947. She continued her education at the College of Idaho, earning her degree in Physical Education in 1951. As a young woman Jackie was known throughout the Treasure Valley for her pitching arm in the women's fast pitch softball leagues. She played for several teams over the years to include the Caldwell Mason Motorettes, The Roseburg Lumberjills, and the Boise Winnemucca Stage Ettes. Notably, she pitched against the Harlem Queens in Caldwell (1950) during an exhibition game. In 1953, while working as a P.E. teacher in Roseburg, Jackie met and married Fred Rico Weber. Together they started their life's adventures raising four children: Madora M. Neale. Rico E. Weber, Tamara E. Weber, and Angelina M. Weber-Kaufman. Jackie and Fred also enjoyed traveling: living in Africa for several years and visiting Fred's family in Switzerland on occasion. But Idaho was home. Fred and Jackie resided in Boise close to Jackie's brothers and sisters: Elaine Hallstrom, Helen Rohlfing, Edna Brenton, Stan Willmorth, Jim WIllmorth, and Jerry Willmorth. One of Jackie's favorite activities included continuing her life-long passion for softball. She was a fixture on the slow-pitch fields. She also enjoyed attending all sports activities that her grandchildren participated in. If she was there, she would be seen cheering her teams, keeping score, and heckling the umpires. She also loved her Boise State Broncos, and rarely passed up an opportunity to tailgate with her children, nieces, nephews and friends. She enjoyed trips to Jackpot, boat nights, luncheons with her friends and kept in touch with her High School chums. Beyond her own children Jackie dedicated her time and energy to being an endearing part of her four grandchildren's lives: Sarah J. Weber, Landon R. Neale, Nathan E. Neale, and Aaron R. Neale. From their first breaths to her last she was there to provide love, support and laughter as they grew into adulthood. Jackie was "Mom" to many people. A comment made by one of her acquired children said it best, "When you saw Jackie you knew you were home". Her last two days of life were spent loving a constant parade of people whose lives she touched with kisses, hugs, and laughter. She is survived by four of her children, her four grandchildren, and three of her brothers and sisters: Jim, Jerry and Edna. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred, her son Rico A. Weber, her parents, brother Stan, and sisters Helen and Elaine. We will miss you Mom, Grandma, Jackie, Sis, Aunt Jacque, but instead of mourning your life as something lost we will celebrate one lived well. Love You!! At Jacquelyn's request, no memorial service will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity of your choice.
