James Dahl Obituary

James Eli Dahl August 16, 1935 - November 10, 2011 James Eli Dahl passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on November 10th, 2011. Jim was born in Joliet, Montana to Eli and Marie Dahl on August 16th, 1935. He graduated from Montana State at Bozeman in 1958 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Jim married Lou Ann Wendt in June of 1963 and moved to Pleasanton, California in 1965 to work for Kaiser Sand and Gravel as an engineer, and later in management, including as President. James was active with the Rotarians in Pleasanton and served as President in 1978. Jim retired in 1992 and moved to Meridian, Idaho in 2005. James was active in the Lutheran church and was on the building committees at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Dublin, CA and Trinity Lutheran Church in Pleasanton, CA. He belonged to the Transformational Ministry Team at Hope Lutheran Church in Meridian, ID. Jim will be missed by his wife Lou Ann, son Scott and wife Jessalyn, daughter Susan and husband Steve Robertson, grandchildren Eli, Sophia and Sean Robertson, and many others whose lives he has touched. We want to thank Pastor Mike Sager, his wife Kristin, Nurse Barbara, Cheryl and the staff at XL Hospice for their TLC. The memorial service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church in Eagle, Idaho on Saturday, November 19th at 10 am. Donations can be made to Lutheran Community Services, Positive Action, 2920 Cassia St., Boise, ID 83705.
