Michael Douglas Obituary
The celebration of life will be held at 9811 W Carolina Drive Boise Id 83709. On 6/27/25 from 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Private family inurnment will be at Dry Creek Cemetery.
Michael was born on November 2,1944 in Kansas City, Kansas to Virgil M. Douglas and Thelma M. Hanshew. He lived all but two years of his life in Boise, Idaho. He attended Boise Jr High and was enlisted in the US Army until 1969. Michael married Mary Ann Prather on April 26,1968. He was widowed on July 9, 2002. He lost the love of his life.
He worked at Centennial Job Corps as a plaster instructor and retired in 2000. He was with the Operative Plasterers and Masons International Association for 50 years. He was very dedicated to his family and loved going out to eat together. He loved making everyone laugh. He loved his home gardening, hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He enjoyed having family around him.
Survivors include his son Michael R. Douglas, son in law Luke Yost, daughter Shelley Douglas and stepdaughter Debbie Schiffman. His special grandchildren Katelyn, Annie, Sophia, EJ, Hunter, Kelsey, and Andre'. Great grandchildren Mia, Theo and Aya. Siblings Judy, Nancy and David. He was preceded in death by his brothers Babe and Floyd.

I knew Mike my entire life. So sorry to hear of his passing. He was a very special person. I will always hold good memories of fishing drinking a beer or two or twenty two. All the stories and jokes. Love ya buddy rest in peace.
