Mike was a difference maker, my selfish wish is that I could have met him sooner and known him longer. I will miss Michael and his straight forward, curt way of calling a spade a spade, I loved that about him.
Until we meet again my friend....BadaBing!

Mike my boy you ment so much to the people at Holy Apostles and everyone you have touched as well.
Mike was in the Knights of Columbus with me and My small faith group Mourning Light as well; he was so outgoing, determined and bull headed as well and if it came to a Catholic that was not going by the word, then Mike would show you what page it was on-we can all learn a lot from Mike- But what can I say about him other than.
Mike lived his life to the fullest and he knew his journey on earth was short, but he was determined to give all he had
I remember a time when he picked me up for Mourning Light and as soon as I open the door he would say; Hi there my boy or Hi there my fellow Knight how's it going? made me feel so good and special; but all I have to say to Mike is : Good show my boy, you really gave it all you got
Lets keep that candle lite for Mike and never let that candle go out

Mike was loved by anyone he met. His faith remained strong throughout his illnesses. He gave of himself to so many in the parish. His gregarious personality touched all who knew him. Smooth sailing, Mike, time to move to your eternal reward. You will be missed. May God welcome you and bless you as you enter His kingdom. You are loved.

I met Mike as a result of the Evangelization Retreat at Holy Apostles. He helped us get our new faith community started and was a tremendous encouragement as I was just entering the church. He had a gift of remembering people's names and always making them feel like his "special" friends. Mike, you are already so missed at Holy Apostles but we all look forward to a joyful reunion one day. Please never lose that NY accent! :-)

Mike was an inspiration to all who knew him in the Holy Apostles Church Community. I got to know him through the Returning Catholics Program. He attended and afterwards became one of our core team members. He shared his story of coming back to the church with so many and it was a powerful testimony. I am lucky enough to have it recorded. Despite the struggles he had in his life, he found God again and I have no doubt he entered into the kingdom with his baptismal gown white. God bless you Mike as you blessed us with your faith and story.
