Michele Dearing-Osiek Obituary

Michele Dearing-Osiek
August 5, 1956 - November 19, 2021
Boise, Idaho - Michele Earlene Dearing-Osiek passed away peacefully at home on November 19th, 2021. For six years she battled pancreatic cancer and she fought hard. She surpassed every timeline she was given along the way due to her unrelenting will to survive.
Michele was born in St. Louis Missouri on August 5, 1956. She had a free spirit and a need for adventure that eventually lead her out west. She and her two children moved to California in 1986 before making their way to beautiful Idaho in 1993. Michele loved the beauty of the western mountains, especially if she could enjoy them on the back of a horse. She preferred small towns to big cities and had a way of leaving her footprint in every town she lived.
Michele made many good friends along the way, some of whom she has kept for a lifetime. She was a social butterfly and often the life of the party. Her laugh was as infectious as it was unique. She enjoyed socializing, horseback riding, cooking and gardening. She had a true love of nature and respect for earth. Whether it be backpacking on a horse, feeding the birds, watching flowers grow or singing Janis Joplin around a campfire; she was always happiest when experiencing nature.
Michele was preceded in death by her parents Everette and Elizabeth Dearing, her grandparents Francis and Elizabeth Schmeider, aunt Sharon and uncle Frankie. She is survived by her son Neill, daughter Terri, grandson Riley, sister Melinda, brothers Matthew and Michael, aunts Priscilla and Mary, uncles Chris and Mark, seven nieces and nephews, and far too many cousins to list.
Rest in eternal peace - You will be missed and never forgotten.

I knew Michele for 50 years. She was also my ex sister -in-law. She had a great sense of humor , a wonderful laugh and was a kind caring person. She stood up strongly for the things that she believed in. We will all miss her .

Michele and I met ten years ago, the year after I moved to Idaho. She became my best friend. I could tell her anything. Michele was always up for a road trip or any kind of adventure and we had so much fun. My heart is broken and I am going to miss her so much! She is finally resting and at peace. Prayers of comfort for all of her family during this difficult time.

My heart breaks for my dear former sister-in-law and my nephew and niece, Neill and Terri. She endured so much, but her spirit will endure through her kids, grandson, friends and relatives. My sympathies to you all.
