Mildred McDonald Obituary

Mildred C. McDonald, 92, of Nampa, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2006 at a local care facility. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave South, Nampa. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Nampa. Mildred was born July 21, 1913 in Sprague, Wash. to Peter and Mamie (Boyer) Schmitt. She was a graduate of Nampa High School. On June 14, 1933 she married Gordon McDonald at Lakeview Park in Nampa. Gordon passed away on Oct. 28, 2002. Mildred was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, especially roses, enjoyed watching TV (old movies), and in her early years was active in St. Paul´s Catholic Church. Her family was very special to her. Mildred is survived by her son Gene (Fannie) McDonald of Nampa, daughter Kathleen Good of Nampa; sister Shirley Schmitt; grandchildren Kevin (Pat) Good, Valerie (Gary) Hayes, Douglas (Karla) Good, Mark (Peri) McDonald, Robin (Kelly) Aberasturi, Allison (Mark) Franck and Sarah (Phil) Malchow; great-grandchildren Lindsay, Ford, Michael, Ashley, Gordon, LiAnna, Richard, Christopher, Emily, Krystal, Julie, Lena, Marcos, Gretchen, Ezekiel and Abigail; great-great-grandchildren Shey and Allie. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon and brother Howard Schmitt.
