Phillip Howard Obituary

Phillip Alan Howard

May 17, 1980 - April 18, 2024

Seattle, Washington - Phillip Alan Howard passed away due to natural causes on the 18th of April, 2024, in Seattle, Washington, at the age of forty-three. Born on the 17th of May, 1980, in Boise, Idaho, Phillip will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He attended Boise schools and married Desirae Morgan in 1998. Together they had three sons - Deimian, Sebastian, and Xavier. Phillip had a brilliant mind and an off-the-wall sense of humor - a "comic genius and master of the absurd" as one friend put it. He could regale you with lines from "Star Trek: the Wrath of Khan" and "Galaxy Quest" and found the humor in most everyday situations. He took the road less traveled on a daily basis. He loved sports (especially hockey), karaoke night, "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy." He lived and worked as a chef in both Boise and Seattle restaurants.

Phillip is survived by his mother Jody Lee and his father David Howard, his sons Deimian, Sebastian and Xavier, his brothers Casey Swendig and Paul Howard and his grandmother Pauline Lee, plus numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents Dale Lee, Walt Howard and Ethel Howard.

The family invites friends, loved ones, and those whose lives were touched by Phillip to join in a celebration of his life. A traditional memorial service will be held on the 19th of May, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cassia Park Shelter, located at 4060 Camas Street, Boise, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Phillip's memory to Boston University's Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center. Phil's family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
