Robert Moffat Obituary

Robert Wayne Moffat Sr.
1942 ~ 2013
Robert Wayne Moffat Sr. passed away October 29, 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona. Bob was born on November 2, 1942 in Vancouver, Washington and shortly after moved to Victor Idaho. He grew up in Idaho graduating from Nampa High School where he met and later married his true love Kathleen Kaye Nelson. After serving in the military, Bob graduated from Boise State and started a successful home building business in the Treasure Valley that he owned and operated for 35 years. Bob was a wonderful husband of 50 years and loved being with his best friend every day. He not only loved his wife, but made sure she was part of his life every single day. He was a great example of how to love and care for your family and those around you. Bob spent many hours with his two sons, fishing, hunting, and just having fun. He taught them how to work and to value a job well done. Bob loved his grandkids and they loved him because he cherished his time with each one of them. Bob also has many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and long time friends that knew him well and loved him because he was a true friend. Bob would do anything for anyone and that was the way he lived his life. He will forever be remembered for the many great memories he left each one of us and although we will miss him every day, someday we will see him again. Goodbye for now.
Robert Wayne Moffat is survived by his loving wife Kathie Moffat, his two sons and their wives, Bob Jr. and Gale, Chad and Ann, and his 6 grandkids: Logan, Landon, McKay, Summer, Autumn and Rhett. His brothers and sisters: Bill, Arlene, Connie, Butch, Richard, Tony and Kevin. His dear friend Joe Harris, and many nieces, nephews, and other family.
Bob was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Andrew and Wilda Moffat, Ross and Ann Luekenga and his mother in law Dorthy Nelson and sister Vicki Luekenga Frame.
Services will be held for Robert Moffat on November 9, 2013 at the LDS Church on 5900 Castle Road, Boise Idaho. Burial services will be Tuesday, November 12th, 2013 at 11:00 at Dry Creek Cemetery.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Kathy and all the family. I am so glad that I got to home teach and get to know your family better. Many good memories of pulling pranks on each other on the golf course. Bob will be missed by us all but how great it is to know the eternal plan and that this life is only one phase in it.

Nobody was more excited to be "willed" to their Uncle Bob and Aunt Kathie than ME! I loved being in any room that they were in because laughter was there. My Uncle Bob always made me feel special with his kind words and big strong hugs. And, it never hurt that he smelled so good! I can hardly wait to see you again. I'll be ready for another one of your big squeezes! xoxoxo

Dear Aunt Kathie,
We will miss Uncle Bob so much. The other day I remembered how he used to call me "Tamarack". I acted like I hated it but really loved it! What a great example he was of how to live life honorably. So thankful to be related. Love you, Tam and Rob.
