ROY FELTSON Obituary

Roy was born on March 31, 1989, and went Home on September 26, 2014, our little boy, Roy Feltson Jr. is now with his Father - at peace. Born at St. Joseph's in Chicago, raised in McHenry and Carol Stream - Roy Jr. loved ALL sports but most of all, Wrestling. Even though he was a Junior Bull in McHenry - when he peeped through the wrestling room at Jay Stream Middle School - he came home and asked, "Mom, do you think I would be good at wrestling*" Although he started far late in 'Wrestling Nation', he always strived to be among the best and was most certainly surrounded by only the BEST. Gomez, Pineda, Hahn, McGovern and first and foremost, Retek Trained. Roy Jr. loved everyone and lived life to the fullest. Although there are far to many family and friends to list, he's survived by his parents, Roy Sr and Toni Marie Feltson, his sister & best friend, Destinee Marie Feltson, Grandma, Sally B Retek (Jerry), Michael J Mitchell Jr., Hank M Retek Sr., Aunts & Uncles; Mike (Sue), Joe (Debi), Michael J Mitchell, III, Peter D Mitchell and family, Pat Mitchell, Susan (Spencer) Davis & family, Ray Feltson (Lisa) & family, John (Marcia) Wolf, Fred Wolf and family, Peter (Debbie) Wolf, Tom Wolf, Mary Frances (Auntie M) Wolf; cousins; Jeremy Sr. (Katie), Kyle (Vanessa), Joe Jr., Samantha Ann (Nick) Beers, Georgie Ann Wolf & family, John J Wolf Jr., Melissa Wolf & Jessica (Troy) Wolf-Golbach. Our hearts are full of joy as Roy and Yesenia, the mother of his child, will bless us with a baby girl coming in February, Emma Roy Feltson. God is so good! Jonathan Petit, Michael Beljung and his other close friends that went Home are all back together playing poker and we've gained another Angel. A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 28th at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Carol Stream, IL. There will be a short service to celebrate his homecoming on Tuesday, September 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Road, Cary, IL.

Dear Toni and family,

My heart continues to break for you and I will keep praying that you will all feel God's peace, which passes all understanding. I know that each of you will, in your own time, without even realizing it. God cried early Friday morning, but then he was right there caring for the three of you, just as he always does. He will never leave you.

Although I never met Roy Jr., other than at his baby shower, I know of the great man he grew to be through your stories, Toni, and from all the wonderful comments and stories I heard on Sunday as well as on Facebook and in the messages posted to this beautiful obituary.

Roy Jr.'s baby girl will have a beautiful angel watching over her always.

Dear Roy, Toni and Destinee, I am so glad to have known your son/brother! Though we didn't see much of each other in the recent years, Jake shared how things were going. I will always remember how he spoke with respect, had compassion for others, his laugh - so infectious. He has left many lasting impressions for all of us lucky enough to been a part of his life. God's Peace to those he left behind.

To the family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Roy was by far one of the most genuine, warm-hearted souls I ever had the pleasure of calling a friend. His memory will always live on, and he will truly be missed. I can't think of the right words to say to describe what a loss this is, because it is unexplainable. Just know that Roy, and you all, are in every ones hearts and prayers. Heaven truly gained a one-of-a-kind Angel <3

I remember the first time I saw Roy in middle school, I thought I was going to MARRY him! Lol but more importantly, over the years we gained a love and respect for eachother as friends. The last thing I said to him was that I was so happy for him and Yesi to be welcoming a baby, and he said "thanks moni, its about time"... :)) Your babygirl will be LOVED and reminded of how much her daddy loved her, what a hell of a guy he was. Love ya Junior. RIP.

To the family of Roy,
It took my breath away to hear of Roy's passing. All of our sons used to hang around together during their high school years; it saddens me so to lose another great boy. Please know that God has gained another angel, I will pray for you and your family, so that you may have the strength to go on, and to celebrate all of the good things that Roy brought to this earth.

Roy, Toni & Destinee-
I knew Roy from my time in admissions at WW college. In all the time I have been around students, there are a small handful that stick with me and I continue to think about them often. Roy was one of those students. Roy was one of those people that just sticks with you. He was always genuinely friendly and personable. He would always "check-in' to see how I was doing, and I would do the same for him to see if he needed anything, how his classes were going - or even if he just needed someone to listen. I can tell you that even in the brief amount of time I spent getting to know Roy, it was apparent that he adored his family. Especially you, Destinee. I can't even imagine what you are all going through right now. I was heartbroken to hear the news of his passing, as I could always see such great potential in him and often wondered what he was up to now. I hope it brings you some comfort to know that your son/brother made a positive impact on everyone he met - I am proof of that. It has been 3 years since I last saw Roy, but to this day, he continues to stick with me. Sending you all my thoughts.
