Rudolph Zantman Obituary

Rudolph C.A. Zantman, 87 of Meridian went to be with Our Lord on April 15, 2009. Rudy was born Aug. 26, 1921 in Leeu-warden, Nether-lands. Rudy was dedicated to his work as a commercial artist for over 40 years. Rudy was given the gift of art, he was truly a gifted and talented man. He expressed his thoughts and feelings through his works which included watercolors, oils, sculpture, wood working, he was an all around craftsman and was commissioned by the Queen of the Netherlands to paint a mural for a hospital dedication. Rudy married Laura Alves Oct. 19, 1955. They have two sons Mart and Henk. Rudy and Laura made a huge sacrifice when it was decided to leave their lives behind and immigrate to the United States to insure a better future for their two sons. In 1980 at the age of 58, he moved his family from Leeuwarden to Parma Idaho. Both sons are grateful for the gift that their parents gave them. Rudy and Laura have always enjoyed being with their family and have received much joy from being around the grandchildren. Their grandchildren are a blessing and a highlight of their lives. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21st at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, a viewing will be held prior to Mass in the day chapel. A reception in the dining room will follow Mass. Private burial will be held at Meridian Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.
