Shelley Seewald Obituary

Shelley G Seewald

May 24, 2025

Boise, Idaho - Shelley G. Seewald passed away on May 24, 2025. She was born in Moscow Idaho on August 9, 1941 to Cyrus and Iva Parcher. Shelley grew up on a ranch in Northern Idaho near Bovill. She was the last living member of her family that included 3 brothers and a sister. Shelley is survived by her husband Ron and daughter Tina Haas.

Shelley graduated from the University of Idaho in 1964 with a BA Education degree. She met her husband Ron at the U of I in 1960 and they were married October 17, 1964.

Shelley taught First Grade in the Meridian District for 35 of her 38 years teaching. She provided a balance of discipline and learning while still making that pivotal first year of school fun.

Shelley was always active-backpacking, hiking, snowmobiling, ATV off highway, biking, walking the greenbelt, jet boating rivers and the inside passage of Canada/Alaska.

Shelley took pride in everything she did including her personal appearance, clothing choices, her flower gardens and an immaculate home with tasteful decor. She decorated extensively for holidays, birthdays were special.

Shelley was a " tell it like it is" person. Age slowed her down but did not dampen her spirit or "let an old person in". She was fun to be around because of her friendly nature, positive attitude and her ability to relate to anyone. Family and friends were always her first priority. Her passing has left a huge void for her family. At her request there will be no funeral service.

Shelley was a fun loving lady. She and Ron were always so fun to see and visit with. Even across the miles they would keep in touch with the cousins . Our sincere sympathy and prayers to Ron, Tina and family.
