Tamara Hinkle Obituary

Tamara "Tammy" L. Hinkle 1971 - 2012 Tamara "Tammy" L. Hinkle On September 9th , Tammy passed on to be with her Lord and Savior after a very recent diagnosis of cancer. Tammy was born June 5, 1971 to Charles and Joanne Hinkle in Caldwell. She joined her older sister Tonya and two older brothers, Brent and Chuck to complete their family. Being the youngest of the four kids, Tammy was definitely the attention-getter. She talked and rocked from the day she was born. One time she rocked her crib so hard she broke it. She tattled on everyone, for everything; not making any "pointers" with her older siblings. She learned her "talking" skills growing up in her mom's in-home hair salon. Ever the "girlie-girl"; that never changed in her life. Tammy graduated from high school in Caldwell and not too long after began her career as a tax appraiser for Canyon County. She was employed there for the past eighteen years. Tammy loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Those who were fortunate to spend any time with her knew she was always ready for fun. She loved music, dancing, concerts, and making great memories. She had a heart of gold; giving of herself and her time, she was always available to meet a need. Her servant's heart was bestowed on many. One of her best attributes was her beautiful smile. She was funny and loved to laugh. She also liked to flirt - she never met a cute waiter that she didn't flip her hair and turn on her "shine"! She loved anything pink and she loved "bling". Though a single lady who never had children of her own, she was never "childless". From her nephews and niece, her friend's kids, to the kids she worked with in Awana and other youth programs, her quiver was full. She was adored and lovingly called "Aunt Tammy" by her many "kids". As one friend said so well, "Tammy wanted a man who would love her just for who she was, and Jesus did!" Tammy was attending First Southern Baptist church in Caldwell at the time of her death. She is survived by her sister and dearest friend, Tonya Collins of Caldwell, her brothers Brent (Penny) of Quartzite, AZ, Chuck (Trista) of Boise; her niece Hillary Hinkle, her nephews, Andrew Collins, Cody (Kim) Hagan, and Steven Hinkle. Services will be held Thursday, September 13, at First Southern Baptist church beginning at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jack Cooke will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell. There will be a viewing Wednesday, September 12, at Dakan Funeral Chapel from 6-8:00 p.m. It all happened so fast, her passing is surreal. What a reunion Tammy is having with her dad and mom and grandma. Our loss was heaven's gain. She will be missed by so many; what wonderful memories are ours to treasure of her. We are not saying good-bye to Tammy, simply farewell - until we someday meet again. We love you. Condolences may be shared with her family in her online tribute at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com

I worked with Tammy at Canyon County for several years before she passed away and she would come into the building Dept and was always so cheerful and funny! She definitely has not been forgotten as I think of her often and her beautiful smile and upbeat personality! Please know that she did make a difference in this world and I am blessed to have known her. I know being a Christian, I will see her again some day. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. - Janet LaMont

I feel so blessed to have known her. Tammy was amazing! She is now spreading her gift with new & old friends. I wish her family well & also the same warmth that Tammy gave to many.

You were never a stranger around Tammy. She made you feel like you were a part of a warm extended family. Her time here was far too short. She is deeply missed. Can't wait to rejoice with her and all those who have gone before us in the light of our Savior.

I worked next door to the Assessors office and Tammy would frequently come over when she had work to do in our department. She was never a stranger to me! She was SO friendly and cheerful. Although I did not know her as well as I would have liked, she will be missed so very much! She was always laughing and smiling. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time.

I will miss you forever, but I know I will see you again someday. What happiness you must have had seeing your mom and dad again. You were a shoulder for me and a best friend. I will miss our spa days, our trips together, our laughing so hard we cried and talking about finding the man of our dreams. You found yours first sweetie...Jesus was waiting with open arms for you. I met Tammy in the 3rd grade and our friendship grew from there. In the classroom, on the softball field, or just hanging out, Tammy made things more fun. She truely was and is one of the BEST friends I've ever had. My heart broke when hers stopped beating. I will never forget... I Love You Tam!!

We were so sorry to hear of Tammy's passing. I remember her from working with her at Crookhams and then seeing her at church activities that we attended at Centennial. She was a very sweet and vivacious young lady that is going to be missed so very much.

Tammy was my best friend. The 1st day of 5th grade she walked up to me & said "I'm Tammy, what's your name?" She was the most friendly person I know. I love her with all my heart & I miss her so much it's hurts. I know we will see each other again in Heaven.
Tonya, Brent & Chuck, I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you will stay in touch. Please let me know if I can help in any way. I love you.
