Thad D Broadhead
June 30, 1967 - May 24, 2025
Kuna, Idaho - Thad Donavan Broadhead 57' of Kuna, passed away May 24th, 2025 due to pancreatic cancer linked to his job, he was at home in the comfort of his family. Thad's life is nearly impossible to sum up in something as small as an obituary, his years of service on the Boise Fire Department alone could fill a book if not two with all the stories that he shared. This does not even begin to compare to the many adventures that he took outside of work with his dedicated wife of 35 years Tamera, his sons, the many kids he "adopted" from around the neighborhood who looked to him as a father figure, or all the scouts who had him as a scoutmaster over his more than 25 years of scouting history. Thad's life was stories and people, for a man who always claimed to be anti social he sure touched many lives. Thad's legacy is born out by all who carry a piece of him with them, from a love of the outdoors to the many eagle scouts he helped to the many people he rescued on the fire department. Thad provided a place of strong quiet resilience, love and care for all that gravitated within his presence, he was there for any help that you needed whether it be financial advice, car repairs, home repairs, moving or anything else that you could imagine. Thad was the kind of friend, father and husband that most could only dream of becoming, while he had his faults he was quick to acknowledge them and try to fix them and always become better. Thad will be missed dearly by all who knew him especially his family but none more than his wife Tamera who gave up much of her time with him in order for him to serve the community as a firefighter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7th at 11 a.m. They will be at the LDS Stake Center located at 8625 S Linder Rd, Kuna, ID 83634 followed by a procession to the Kuna Cemetery. The family asks en lieu of flowers donations be given in Thad's name to the Boise Fire Department Burnout Fund or to his niece Amanda Conlon who is currently in need of a kidney transplant due to an unknown kidney disease using the following link for her gofundme
