Wayne Clements Obituary

Wayne E. Clements
1933 ~ 2018
Wayne E. Clements passed away on May 28, 2018, Memorial Day. With a tear in his eye and a squeeze of his wife's hand, he closed his eyes and peacefully took his last breath. Wayne was born on August 7, 1933, at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise, Idaho, to Wallace and Mabel Clements. Wayne graduated from Boise High in 1953 and joined the Air Force later that same year. He had one brother, Ralph, whom he spent most of his time with as a boy, riding bikes, fishing and playing at Stibnite while his father worked the tungsten mines as a truck driver. His mom was a homemaker and made clothing for the family. She even made shirts, turning the collars when they were frayed. His father started a concrete business with only a dump truck and a two-wheeled hand mixer. After returning from the service, Wayne joined his dad and brother at Clements Concrete. Wayne was dedicated to his business, from which he retired in 1988.
While in the Air Force, Wayne met Betty Poore in Greenville, South Carolina, and they were married on December 26, 1959, until her death in 2006. From that union, their son Richard was born and was the joy of his father's life. Wayne took his son to work with him beginning at the age of 5, and he learned all about trucks and tractors. Wayne met his wife Sue in 2006. They were married in October 2007. She was the love of his life, and his biggest worry was leaving her behind. Wayne enjoyed being with his granddaughter Sami and watching her grow. He also enjoyed his step-grandchildren, and he loved them all. His lifelong friend, Richard Dick, often spoke about Murray's Drive-In and chasing girls in his younger days. His silky terrier, Pearl, was his furry best friend. She followed him everywhere and never left his side, especially when he got sick.
Wayne leaves behind Sue, his son Richard (Terri), his brother Ralph, granddaughter Sami, stepchildren Andy (Lisa) and Kristin (Eli), and many step-grandchildren and friends. Wayne knew Jesus Christ as his savior and looked forward to meeting him face to face.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 1, at 2:00 p.m., with a viewing at 1:00 p.m., at Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah St., Boise. Interment with military honors will follow at Morris Hill Cemetery.

I am so sorry for your loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain you during this difficult time. (Isaiah 61:1,2). My prayers are with your family.
