As I recall, Uncle Bill served in the U.S. Navy out in the South Pacific during WW-II. Though I never knew of him to speak of the war or did I ever know his rank, I believe he was a Navy Corpsman. I will always remember those old pictures of a young Boise man in uniform and will forever be grateful for his honorable service to country. It is my understanding after the war, he returned home to Boise but then attended photography school in California. On returning again to Boise, he worked for the Idaho Statesman as a photographer. From there, Bill went on to become a long time Boise businessman.

Uncle Bill from his heart and in the Bach family tradition always greeted and warmly received us as far back as I can recall and will always cherish those visits, memories, and will greatly miss him.

To the Cousins Cindy, Sherri, David, Pam, and to all in your families (I remember 2nd cousins Cory, Tessa, and Tiffany), my Love, thoughts, and prayers go out to you all.

Uncle Bill (and can’t forget Aunt Lou) could always find a bit of humor or a good laugh in some of the hardest times we family ever saw and while composed but mourning with tears, could get you to smile, laugh a bit, or almost have you blowing milk out your nostrils. It is my hope your memories of Bill will always be your comfort and bring to you a reminiscing chuckle, smile, or needed good laugh.

My life is sprinkled with marvelous memories of both your parents. I was lucky to spend a few days with Bill when he drove me and my Mom to Couer d 'Alene. I wish I could be there, but am unable to do that. Please accept my long distance sympathies.

Sorry to hear about your loss from Bill's passing. I haven't seen Bill for years but based on his obituary picture, he hadn't change a bit and looked very happy...so the river and all of you must of made his last years, wonderful ones! I hope he left you all with fantastic memories to get you through the hard times without him.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I have many fond memories of times with the Bach family. I took a minute today to look at my wedding pictures and think of Bill. For us, his pictures are a legacy not only of his tremendous talent, but also of the lifelong friendship between the Bates and Bach families.

I did not know Mr.Bach, but have been duly blessed with his Daughter, Shari's friendship. I can only imagine that a great man would have given us such a wonderful young lady. So thank you, Mr. Bach and be blessed in Peace with your loved ones.

Hi to the Bach family: We are not able to come over but we are thinking of you all and do feel bad about Bills passing. He was always friendly and remember the donuts he would go get when I came over to see Lou, mom and all and we were always welcomed. Sincerely, Ella and Dave Ellis
