William Seabright Obituary

William James Seabright William James (Big Jim) Seabright, 84, of Boise, Idaho passed away on Oct. 14, 2007 in Palisade, Colo. Jim was born in Hanford, Calif. on Dec. 19, 1922 where he grew up. As a young adult, he began a career as a Caterpillar mechanic. He married his first wife, Rose and they moved to Oregon where he continued his career with Caterpillar. His job took him to Sparks, Nev. for a short period of time. In 1965 they moved to Boise where Jim became a shop foreman for Caterpillar. Jim and Rose divorced a short time later. Jim met and married his second wife, Margie, while living in Boise. In 1982 he retired from Caterpillar and began a maintenance service for mobile homes in the Boise area where he worked for over 20 years. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and being a rock hound. He was especially proud of the roses he grew in his yard. He also enjoyed making yearly trips to the Oregon coast to go fishing and visit his family. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, William and Izara Seabright, his former wife, Rose, his brother, Elmer, his sister-in-law, Boots, his sister, Vivian and brother-in-law, Eugene Romines, his niece, Dorice Roberts, and his nephew, Michael Damewood. He is survived by his niece, Betty and husband Chris Rodgers of Palisade, Colo., his nephew, Alan and wife Debbie Seabright of Coos Bay, Ore., his niece Carol Damewood of Roseburg, Ore., his nephew Kerry and wife Connie Roberts of Laguna Hills, Calif. and many great-nieces and nephews. At his request, no services will be held. Cremation to take place in Palisade, Colo., with his ashes to be scattered at sea off the coast of California.
